Our unit conducts over 6,000 examinations per year and we engage in extensive research both nationally and internationally. Our work also includes a significant mission in development, teaching, and training.

We are a growing organization and work together in teams with nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, and secretaries. Here we have a good work environment and close collaboration between different professions, departments, and clinics. The clinic is open during the day from Monday to Friday.

As a new colleague with us, you will meet healthcare staff with extensive experience working with patients in gastroenterology. We have regular meetings where we discuss routines and improvements, and we continuously offer training for all staff. Together, we are a wonderful team that collaborates well across professions to ensure our patients receive the best possible care!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome a new colleague to our endoscopy clinic in Malmö. In addition to examinations at our own unit, you will assist with urgent endoscopies and pediatric endoscopies under anesthesia in surgery. The work involves rotating through the operating room, various examination rooms, recovery rooms, and the desk, making the tasks very varied. You will be responsible for preparations, assisting during examinations, as well as monitoring and caring for patients after examinations. Your primary focus will always be on the patient, both in terms of care and medical management. Your work will also include the maintenance of various instruments, materials, and equipment.

The work is very technical. We have a highly competent staff group and we are continuously evolving. As you become integrated into the organization, you will receive training in propofol sedation for healthy patients. We receive a lot of positive feedback from patients after examinations, which confirms that we have done a good job. You help patients through difficult examinations, which feels rewarding and energizing.

The position is a combination role with weekend duties in the gastroenterology department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. You have knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. For this position, it is required that you have work experience as a nurse.

Furthermore, it comes naturally to you to take responsibility and be engaged in your work. Additionally, you work meticulously and are both flexible and proactive.
