We are now looking for dedicated nurses for our office in Malmö, as we are expanding our operations and replacing for retirements.

We are a cheerful team consisting of about 90 nurses, one doctor, two administrators, and three unit managers. The office in Malmö, where you will be based, is centrally located in nice and fresh premises with proximity to public transport. We also have an office in Kristianstad located near the hospital, with its own unit manager.

1177 on the phone is a national service that operates around the clock in all regions of Sweden. We primarily serve the citizens of Skåne but also answer calls from other regions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will work in a helpful and supportive team, where everyone has different backgrounds and competencies. As a nurse, you will primarily work with telephone advice, make qualified medical assessments, provide self-care advice, and refer callers to the appropriate level of care. To assist you in your work, you have a symptom-based decision support system where you follow a well-structured conversation process. In the conversations, you can also connect via video or receive images sent to you, which facilitates the assessment.

The position involves working days, evenings, and weekends, and we work two weekends out of five. We use a wish schedule that runs over 15 weeks, allowing you to influence your schedule. There is an opportunity to work remotely, via a home office, once you have gained experience and can work independently. Currently, about 30 nurses work a few shifts a week remotely. We care about ensuring you have a good work environment, and here you can feel secure in completing your tasks, performing adequately, and finishing your shift on time.

It is important for us to create the best possible conditions for our nurses to feel secure in their roles; therefore, you will be offered continuous education with medical lectures every other week. As a new employee with us, you will receive a comprehensive introduction program with both theoretical and practical training over four weeks. You will also have a personal mentor to support you in your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Additionally, it is a requirement for the position that you have previous experience working as a nurse, where we would like to see that you have experience in making assessments. Since large parts of the work are performed digitally, good computer skills are also a prerequisite for the position. It is an advantage if you feel comfortable conducting conversations in English.

You have a commitment and the ability to motivate and inspire your colleagues and to get everyone to work towards the common goals of the organization. Furthermore, you are driven by goal-oriented thinking in your priorities and actions and have an easy time structuring your work. For this position, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
