We are now looking for you who want to be part of a wonderful team in the intensive care unit in Lund!

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is part of the area of intensive and perioperative care (VO IPV) within Skåne University Hospital (Sus) and offers anesthesia, surgical nursing, intensive care, and postoperative care in Lund.

We also conduct pain management activities for acute, postoperative, procedure-related pain and are responsible for Sus's overall sterile technical operations. Approximately 470 employees work within the area and provide qualified intensive and postoperative care. The unit is a resource for the various operations at its own hospital and for other hospitals in Region Skåne.

In the intensive care unit, patients are cared for after trauma, sepsis, cardiac arrest, and multiple organ failure, with 90 percent of our operations being acute. The nurses participate in the trauma alarm chain and mobile intensive care group. The postoperative operations serve the areas of surgery, women's health, orthopedics, ear, nose, and throat, and maxillofacial surgery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in the intensive care unit is done in teams together with nursing assistants, doctors, and physiotherapists, focusing on person-centered care in a unit with high competence in a high-tech environment.

The position involves a permanent placement in the intensive care unit with rotation to the postoperative unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You also have specialist training in intensive care. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. Previous experience in intensive care and/or postoperative care is an advantage.

The role of an intensive care nurse requires you to be a team-oriented person who collaborates easily. After training, you thrive and have the ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy in your work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
