The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand centers, and client transport.

Kristianstad has a new remand center with 120 places located in the new Rättscentrum district, in addition to a smaller older remand center nearby with 29 places. The workplace is equipped with a large staff gym, a staff restaurant with the possibility of purchasing subsidized meals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

For the operational area of Karlskrona/Kristianstad and with placement at the new remand center in Kristianstad, we are now looking for a case officer. As a case officer, you will have varied tasks with a focus on administrative duties. You will be partially responsible for staff planning and assist in recruitment processes. Furthermore, you will have regular contact with the management at the remand center on various issues and liaise with other functions within the authority.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with excellent collaboration skills. You work in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively. You have good initiative and are attentive to deadlines, setting and adhering to timeframes.

During a workday, many things can change, and you therefore adapt easily to changing circumstances. You may even appreciate flexibility in your daily routine and see opportunities in changes. In this role, it is important to make correct assessments and priorities despite time constraints.

Requirements

  • Academic degree in a relevant field for the position, or other education or work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant and equivalent.
  • Experience in staff and resource planning
  • Experience with personnel and staffing systems
  • Knowledge of laws and agreements (labor law, working time regulations, policies, etc.)
  • Very good computer skills
  • Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

Meritorious

  • Work experience from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
  • Experience with Heroma
  • Experience with state collective agreements
  • Experience in personnel ranking
