Östra Ängsskolan is an adapted primary school/special school for grades F-9. Currently, there are about 60 students distributed across seven groups in the school and an after-school program. The students study both subjects and subject areas according to the special school's curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone with experience working in adapted primary schools within subject areas and with students with autism. You need to be comfortable with care tasks such as diaper changes and hygiene. Since several of the students do not have speech, it is advantageous if you master sign language as support. Your responsibility is to follow and support the students in the activities. You will work with the students throughout the school day and in the after-school program in the afternoon. You need to have knowledge of and experience with low-arousal approaches. We have small classes where educators and teaching assistants work together with the students. Your approach is of utmost importance to our students, so you need to be attentive, calm, secure, and clear in your communication. You should be able to meet and handle students with various disabilities and need to be flexible with good collaboration skills.
