Your new job

In the role of teaching assistant, you will:

• Be an extra important person in the school and after-school center.
• Support students in all situations during the school day and during leisure time.
• Support students in groups as well as in individual situations.

The role also includes:

• Building trusting relationships with students and guardians.
• Working closely with experienced colleagues with the opportunity to receive guidance from the school's special educator and special teachers.
• Being part of a larger whole at Nyarpsskolan where you share your thoughts and knowledge.

Welcome to us

Nyarpsskolan is nestled in a quiet residential area in the middle of Bankeryd. We are close to both forest and lake, and the school forest provides us with a wonderful place to be. The bus stop and train station are a 5-minute walk away, with frequent connections to central Jönköping.

Nyarpsskolan is a K-6 school with both regular and adapted primary education. The school has three affiliated after-school centers; Fyren, Kajutan, and Jollen. Here, 50 staff support and develop our 300 students every day.

With us, you will be part of a team led by a team leader. The school has five team leaders, each leading a team. Together with the school management, we develop and drive our fine school forward.

Our school belongs to the Bankeryd track. Here we work together with the area's other primary schools and preschools. The goal is to create an equitable education in Bankeryd.

You who are applying have:

• Previously worked as a teaching assistant or in similar roles.
• At least a high school education. Perhaps you have studied child and leisure, with a focus on teaching assistance or are a treatment educator, but you may also have other education that the employer deems suitable for the position.

You who are applying are:

• Clear, stable, and mature in your professional role
• Confident in meeting students in various situations and contexts

You also have:

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
• Basic IT skills

For us, it is meritorious

• With experience working in after-school centers or adapted schools/primary education
• With knowledge and experience of students with neuropsychiatric diagnoses
