Our Operations

Ösbyskolan has been in operation since 1996 and currently has about 680 students from Preschool to grade 9. Together with the students, our wonderful staff of about 90 dedicated employees works. Our school is characterized by both traditions and innovative development. We offer you a good working environment in modern facilities. Ösbyskolan is located in Gustavsberg, Värmdö municipality, with very good and frequent connections, approximately 25 minutes travel time from Slussen.

Your Mission

In the role of school custodian, you will work with a wide range of varied tasks related to the premises that affect the conditions for staff and our students. You will work with property maintenance, supervision indoors and outdoors, repairs, maintenance, handling error reports, receiving deliveries to the school, and conducting regular fire inspections (SBA). Heavy lifting occurs, e.g., in connection with goods reception, moving, and furnishing. You must feel comfortable working when the operation is in full swing and having contact with staff and students. You will also have many external contacts with, for example, representatives from the property owner, craftsmen, and courier companies.

Your Experience

We are looking for someone who is outgoing, self-driven, and flexible with very good organizational skills. You should have the ability to interact with children and youth and master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You should want to collaborate both internally and externally and be able to create good relationships that promote cooperation.

Additional qualifications include:

• being used to taking significant personal responsibility and driving your work forward to deliver good results
• having experience and knowledge of systematic fire protection work
• having experience in safety work and ongoing efforts for a safe and secure workplace
• having a positive view of students and assuming that students can and want to learn.
• seeing collaboration as a necessity and pitching in where needed
• being able to work at varying times depending on assignments and needs

It is important that you can plan your own work but also that you are responsive and creative regarding needs that arise in the moment in the operation. Experience working in a school environment is an advantage.
