Social Worker in Foster Care in Nacka

Your mission:

The position will be within foster care with the role of social worker. If necessary, the position may include assignments within the entire child and family unit, which consists of a reception, a group that works with investigations and follow-ups of interventions for children and youth aged 0-18 years, family law, and foster care.

Within foster care, we work to provide the best support to all children in need of placement and contribute to creating a safe growing environment. The workgroup is also responsible for investigating and following the care of unaccompanied children and youth. We live by the principle that “all children are everyone’s responsibility,” which means that we as professionals help each other regarding the current children. Our working methods are adapted to the needs of the children and their families. In recent years and in the coming years, we are working to create a more participatory foster care and place great emphasis on ensuring that our families and contractors receive the right support to successfully create change for the placed children.

The group consists of five foster care secretaries, nine child secretaries, three contact secretaries, two group leaders, and one group manager. We work according to SkolFam and have close collaboration with a psychologist and a special educator who work exclusively with SkolFam. The group is led by group manager Anna Lydig Fredriksson, who leads the group together with group leaders with a focus on job satisfaction and believes that the employees' work environment is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle to achieve high quality for the children and youth we are here for.

In your role, you will among other things:

• Ensure the right to good care and upbringing for children placed in foster care.
• Work to ensure that placed children are involved in their own care and understand why they are placed.
• Create a relationship with the child and collaborate with biological parents, foster homes, and other important adults for the child.
• Be part of the SkolFam team that maps and follows up on the placed children of school age.
• Follow up placements and make decisions based on delegation and document according to applicable legislation.
• Be involved in investigations regarding the termination of care or transfer of custody to foster homes.

You are driven to create good quality for those we are here for and would like to be part of developing a social service characterized by high quality and legally secure processing.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work.
• Several years of experience in public authority work within children and youth.
• Experience working as a child secretary.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing as well as good documentation skills.
• Experience working according to the BBIC structure.
• Holds a B driver's license.
