Dedicated Nurse Wanted for BUP Emergency Unit

Are you a nurse looking to make a significant impact during the relatively short but meaningful time a patient and their loved ones spend at the BUP emergency department? BUP Emergency Unit is now seeking dedicated nurses who want to work on an hourly basis.

BUP Stockholm Acute and Inpatient Care Section consists of an emergency unit and three units providing inpatient care. Two of the inpatient care units and the Emergency Unit are located in Södermalm, while one inpatient care unit is located at S:t Göran's hospital area in Kungsholmen.

Children and adolescents with various acute psychiatric disorders and conditions come to the BUP emergency department. The team receiving them includes doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants who work together to provide the best possible assessment and care for the patients.

We work with the RETTS triage system. The aim is to shorten the lead time to a first medical assessment and facilitate quicker processing for those in greatest need. For you as a nurse, this means having strong support for increased precision and safety in assessing the patient's condition and guidance in deciding how to proceed with interventions.

We now need to expand our competent staff group with nurses who can work as needed.

Job Description

As a nurse, you will be a team leader. Your responsibilities also include receiving children and adolescents and their relatives in crisis, triaging them using the RETTS system, participating in emergency consultations with doctors, providing telephone advice, and being responsible for the care of patients and families who stay overnight. The job also involves a significant amount of social-curative tasks. We document in the Take Care journal system.

We will tailor your introduction to your needs so that you feel secure in your position with us.

Qualifications

You should be a licensed nurse. A specialization in psychiatry and/or health care for children and adolescents is an advantage, as is several years of experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Personal Qualities

You possess excellent collaboration skills, both with colleagues and with patients and their families. You also need to be stable and secure in your role as a team leader while being flexible. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Employment Type

The positions are interim employment, meaning hourly employment as needed. Start date as soon as possible, according to agreement.

We look forward to your application!
