Job Description

As a foster home consultant, your primary task will be to assess foster homes and provide support and guidance to the foster families during the placement period. You will be involved in planning and conducting training, lectures, and social days, and participate in follow-up meetings and collaboration meetings related to the placements.

Your position means that you will work from home, and a significant part of your job will involve traveling to visit the foster homes. Travel to physical meetings and supervision will also be part of the job. Your training and some work as a new employee will take place at our offices.

Your role is to work closely with foster homes and contribute to creating a positive development for the children and their families.

We are looking for a foster home consultant who will primarily work around northern Skåne/Kronoberg/Halland/Blekinge, starting from your home.

As a Foster Home Consultant, it is important to work independently, plan, set goals, and adhere to timelines to ensure and streamline your work processes. The role requires organization and order, therefore we see that you are meticulous and methodical.

In addition to the above, you are a responsive and empathetic person who is comfortable providing ongoing support and advice, with a strong focus on identifying suitable families that can provide the best care and support for the child.

We view it positively if you have personal experience as a foster home.

In addition to the above qualities, we desire the following competencies and knowledge:

  • You are a trained Social Worker or have an equivalent university degree
  • At least 2-4 years of experience working with foster care
  • Supervision training
  • Driver's license B and access to your own car is a requirement.

What you need to know

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Immediate start according to agreement
  • Frequent travel is required, and you will work from home
  • You have flexible working hours, which means you plan your own working time while it is expected that you will work some evenings and weekends based on the needs of the organization
