Are you a priest who wants to work with a dedicated team in a church that touches and impacts people's lives? We are looking for someone who wants to continue developing our work with a focus on worship life. Here you will meet people of all ages, with a primary focus on adults, where confirmands may also be included in the role. Your main church will be Martin Luther, where there will also be occasions when you serve in the congregation's other churches and funeral chapels.

You value collaboration with volunteers and want to help develop congregational life. You find cultural and religious diversity exciting and want to work strategically towards set goals. You thrive in low-threshold, open, and inclusive meeting places.

About the workplace:

In Halmstad's congregation, there is a place for everyone, where Martin Luther/Andersberg is one of three pastoral areas located in the eastern parts of Halmstad. The work here is characterized by openness, diversity, and inclusion. You will join a team of nearly 20 people consisting of educators, leisure leaders, children's educators, musicians, hosts, cleaners, caretakers, deacons, deacon assistants, and priests.

The area consists of two churches: Martin Luther's Church (built in 1970) and the multicultural Andersberg Church. There is also Halmstad University, large shopping areas, schools, sports facilities, housing, and various residential areas. You will also find Östra stranden and Halmstad's harbor, which are a short bike ride away. The municipality's future plan includes plans to convert large commercial and industrial areas into residential areas.

Martin Luther's Church is architecturally rich and completely unique, inspiring liturgical development. Andersberg is a multicultural district where exciting and challenging activities are conducted with a constantly growing church community. The entire Martin Luther area is characterized by this rich diversity of culture, ethnicity, language, and religion, which is a reality that both enriches and challenges our mission perspective. The way forward for the Martin Luther area primarily consists of a theological and pastoral processing of how our work should express itself in this diversity.
