For our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy sector, we are now looking for a Financial Controller for a project at their site in Finspång. Thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, the company is an established partner in the energy sector, delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for the current and future needs of the market. This assignment offers you the opportunity to work in an international and forward-thinking environment with many development opportunities. Initially, this is a consulting assignment for approximately 8 months via Unik Resurs, with a very good possibility of extension. We apply ongoing selection, which means that the assignment may be filled earlier than the application deadline.
Responsibilities and Duties
We are now looking for a Financial Controller for our operations. In this role, you will have a central position where you work closely with project management, business controlling, and accounting. You will actively contribute to developing and digitizing reporting, follow-up, and analysis of the entire project portfolio – from an overall level down to individual projects.
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Driving digitization through the development of new reports and analytical tools for tracking and managing the project portfolio
- Working with digital tools such as Project Dash, Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx
- Collaborating closely with Project Management, Business Controlling, and Central Accounting
- Responsible for preparing and updating monthly and quarterly reports for management
- Administering and following up time reporting and headcount within the project organization
- Actively working on budget and forecasting related to cost centers
- Creating, compiling, and reporting relevant KPIs on a monthly basis
- Monitoring department costs and staffing per cost center and initiating necessary actions
- Participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, including documentation for internal control and external audits
- Working closely with colleagues in Sweden, the USA, Germany, the UK, and globally
- Performing ad hoc analyses, reporting, and other special assignments as needed
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who has a strong drive and a structured working method and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education, university or bachelor's degree in finance/business administration
- Experience working in project operations, preferably within the industrial or infrastructure sector
- Good knowledge of accounting according to IFRS, local regulations, and group accounting
- Independent, responsible, and meticulous with the ability to prioritize and deliver on time with high quality
- Ambitious team player who enjoys collaborating and managing periods of high workload
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in data and IT tools
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and/or Alteryx is an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Excellent command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Additional language skills are an advantage
