Case Officer for the Social Services Administration

Welcome to a team of case officers where we are looking for a new colleague. As a case officer, you will be part of the Social Services Administration's authority exercise, which aims to benefit the residents of Falun and be easy to collaborate with.

The authority section consists of three areas, of which the social psychiatry authority is one. The target group for social psychiatry is individuals aged 18 and over who have a mental disability that causes significant difficulties in daily life and have a long-term need for support.

We are in a phase where we need to develop, innovate, and think anew. This means that we will uphold the intentions of the Social Services Act (SoL), which are based on being preventive, easily accessible, and working towards a knowledge-based approach. We will respect people's self-determination and integrity. By creating equal and equitable conditions, the authority contributes to social and economic sustainability.

Job Responsibilities

As a case officer, you will receive applications, gather documentation for investigations, make decisions, and follow up on all ongoing decisions. You must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing to investigate, document, and record. We use the Treserva system for all documentation. You also need to be able to plan your daily work independently and find a structure in your everyday life, together with the team. It is also part of your responsibilities to collaborate across sectors, together with managers, colleagues, other administrations, municipalities, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• Degree in social work or another equivalent qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Valid driver's license (B)

Personal Qualities

As an applicant for this position, you need to be an engaged person who wants to take responsibility for your tasks. You have good judgment to make assessments and can work collaboratively in a team. We support you in working independently. Decisions made can be both positive and negative, so you need to be able to convey information clearly and informatively to those applying for services from us.

• Experience working as a case officer and with authority exercise
• Knowledge and experience working with IBIC
• Knowledge and experience working in the Treserva system

Employment Conditions

The position is permanent and the scope is 100%.
