Social Worker in Financial Assistance

We are currently looking for several summer substitutes for the financial assistance unit in Umeå municipality. It is important for us that you can work throughout the entire summer period to maintain continuity and quality in our work.

Your Responsibilities

As a social worker in financial assistance, you will investigate and decide on financial assistance applications. You will provide information and advice to the public and individuals regarding their rights to financial support and other assistance.

The role involves regular contact with both individuals and internal and external collaboration partners.

The work entails being a substitute for regular staff during their summer vacation, which means that you must be able to work throughout the specified period without needing personal leave.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or completed and approved field education from the fifth term of the Social Work program. Experience in public authority operations and processing financial assistance applications is an advantage.

We want you to have a genuine interest and strong commitment to social work, and that the meeting with clients is important to you. You should also have a good attitude and collaboration skills, showing interest and understanding for others, and have an ease in creating and maintaining good relationships. Personal suitability is highly valued.
