School Nurse for Hedebyskolan and Kyrkskolan

Hedebyskolan is a middle school for grades 7-9 located in Vagnhärad with approximately 230 students. Kyrkskolan, grades F-6, is located in Västerljung. Welcome to us!

YOUR ROLE AS A SCHOOL NURSE

In your role as a school nurse, you will work in a health-promoting and preventive manner. As a school nurse, it is important that you work for the best interests of the students in close collaboration with other staff at the school as well as with guardians.

You will be part of the school's student health team together with a counselor, special education teacher, special pedagogue, school psychologist, and school management to create the best possible conditions for our students to achieve their goals. You will collaborate with other school nurses and the school doctor regarding vaccinations and other medical tasks.

The principal is your immediate supervisor. The system support is the PMO journal system.

The position entails an 80% workload, distributed as 60% at Hedebyskolan and one day a week 20% at Kyrkskolan.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with further education in Health and Medical Care for children and adolescents, alternatively open health and medical care, or have specialized training as a school nurse. Experience in preventive health work, school health care, and child health care is an advantage.

As a school nurse, you have good knowledge of what is health-promoting and what affects students' development and learning. You are expected to have an approach characterized by dialogue, participation, and equality in your interactions with students. You have a good ability to collaborate in a cross-professional team. You can build good relationships and have the ability to independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care measures needed to promote the physical, mental, and social health of students. You should have the skills and ability to initiate, implement, and evaluate health-promoting and preventive work.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
