About us

Sörmland's ambulance service is at the top of Swedish ambulance care, and we are constantly developing new solutions for better care and working conditions. We strive for good accessibility and high preparedness around the clock and work with the latest technology in communication and technical equipment. Region Sörmland operates the emergency center in collaboration with the Regions of Uppsala and Västmanland. In Region Sörmland, the emergency center belongs to the ambulance organization.

Your tasks

Service as a nurse/specialist nurse in the ambulance, working in a team with an ambulance caregiver or another nurse. You will work with assessments, prioritizations, treatments, and in some cases referrals to other levels of care.

Your qualifications

We are looking for registered nurses with basic and/or advanced education in prehospital care, primarily within prehospital or anesthetic nursing, but all further education is meritorious and of interest. At least one year of experience from an emergency medical unit or another equivalent is required. You should be proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about meeting patients where they are. We place great importance on personal qualities such as clear communication, collaboration, and the ability to build trust. The tasks require you to fully master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of English. Multilingualism is meritorious. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment requirements

Good physical condition is required as heavy lifting often occurs in the work. The employment process includes physical tests in the form of carrying tests, endurance, and strength, as well as a written certificate of swimming ability for 200 m. You must have good driving experience and a class B driver's license for at least 3 years. A class C/C1 driver's license is desirable but not required.

Employment form

Temporary employment from 2026-04-13 to 2026-09-30 or start date by agreement. Day, night, and weekend shifts are included.
