The advertised position includes the role of School Nurse at two of the municipality's primary schools, Slottsskolan F-6 and Marmorbyns school. Slottsskolan F-6 is located in the northern part of the central town and currently has 247 students, while Marmorbyns school is a rural school located on the border with Katrineholm municipality, currently serving 97 students. The distribution of work between the two schools is approximately 80% at Slottsskolan F-6 and 20% at Marmorbyns school.

The school nurse plays an important role in promoting and preventing students' health, lifestyle, and general well-being. The student health teams at the schools work cross-professionally, always starting from the premise that health and learning go hand in hand and are prerequisites for success in school and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of school nurse, you will work together with the student health team and collaborate with the school's management, educators, and other school staff, central student health, guardians, as well as other organizations and authorities outside the school. This is to create a safe working environment that promotes students' health and learning.

You will collaborate with experienced and competent colleagues based on your medical responsibilities. This occurs through regular meetings with other school nurses, school doctors, MLA (Medical Responsible School Nurse), and the head of Central Student Health. Overall collaboration also takes place with other professionals in student health, school counselors, school psychologists, speech therapists, student coordinators, language and speech educators, and special educators, primarily to develop the organization's promotional and preventive efforts. Vingåker municipality documents its efforts in the PMO record-keeping program.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse. You have a B driver's license, and it is an advantage if you have previous experience in medical student health.

In your role as a school nurse, you have a strong sense of service, social competence, and responsiveness in interactions with students, guardians, and staff. You are cooperative and accustomed to meeting people with different experiences and backgrounds.

As a school nurse with us, you will have an independent role that requires you to plan and organize your work effectively. You have a good and professional approach and are skilled at meeting children and young people where they are.
