Akademikliniken in Gothenburg is looking for a licensed anesthesiologist

Our plastic surgery clinic in Gothenburg is located at Guldhedstorget, where consultations, surgeries in 2 operating rooms, as well as outpatient and postoperative activities are conducted.

Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist physician in anesthesiology with several years of experience working with anesthesia in surgical procedures, preferably within plastic surgery or similar specialties.

You should be confident in your professional role and a positive person with an interest in and ability to work innovatively. You are flexible and can handle stressful situations with calm and professionalism. You also enjoy taking responsibility and providing the highest quality service. To thrive with us, you need to like working in a fast-paced environment with high patient safety.

Responsibilities

As an anesthesiologist, you will work together with anesthesia nurses in assessing and planning anesthesia as well as postoperative care. You will be responsible for:

• Anesthesia before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assessing the patient’s health status before surgery and adapting the anesthesia plan based on individual needs.
• Monitoring and ensuring that the patient is stable during the procedure.
• Collaborating closely with the surgical team and other healthcare personnel to optimize care and outcomes.
• Managing postoperative pain relief and follow-up of patients after surgery.
• Assisting and contributing to the recovery department functioning satisfactorily.

Employment type

Permanent employment 80-90%, distributed on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday plus on-call duty. (6-month probationary period applies)

Working hours

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, but may vary. Varied working hours based on the needs of the operation.
