About Us

GeBlod Borås is located at Södra Älvsborg Hospital. Geblod is part of the Transfusion Medicine unit, which has 18 employees. The blood service provides the healthcare system with blood components and transfusion medicine diagnostics.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse at Geblod, you will work with our important blood donors. You will be involved in blood collection, new donor visits, blood sample collection, and in-depth interviews. The operations are governed by a quality management system where it is crucial to follow routines and working methods that ensure quality results.

You play an important role in creating a pleasant and safe environment for our blood donors. Therefore, we place great value on social competence and personal suitability. You will work independently as part of a smaller team in one of our collection rooms in Borås and Ulricehamn. Working hours are mostly scheduled during the day or early evening. Weekend work occurs only in exceptional cases, such as before major holidays or during blood shortages.

About You

We are looking for someone who is skilled at building good relationships and can provide that little extra in interactions with blood donors. You are a trained assistant nurse, and we prefer that you are comfortable handling needles and have experience with blood sampling. You speak and understand Swedish both verbally and in writing.

You have a proactive attitude and good collaboration skills. Your work is an important part of the chain to provide patients in Västra Götaland Region with blood.
