Habilitation is specialized health and medical care for children and adolescents with autism, intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

The work primarily takes place in the habilitation premises but may, based on needs, occur in the patient's local environment.

We are looking for two colleagues for our clinic in Lidköping, where you will be part of separate teams. We have a close collaboration within Skaraborg, where we jointly staff our clinics in Skövde and Lidköping. Based on this, placement in Skövde may be possible.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who

• wants varied tasks that can be both investigative/assessing and therapeutic, aimed at providing patients with the conditions for a better everyday life. Here you can help choose the direction!
• wants to work on providing the patient and their surroundings with increased knowledge about the disability and its consequences, as well as teaching strategies to manage difficulties.
• wants a consultative and advisory role to the patient and their local environment.
• wants to work with treatment individually and/or in groups for defined periods.

The organization is positive towards various forms of further education such as psychotherapy training, supervisor training, and relevant specialist training. Within the organization, there is an opportunity for treatment and assessment supervision. Supervision for psychology students and PTP psychologists may occur within the organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and want to help develop our clinic and operations. If you have experience working with patients who belong to the habilitation target groups, an interest in neuropsychology, an understanding of the consequences of cognitive impairments in daily life, and experience working in cross-professional teams, it may be advantageous.

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to organize and structure their patient work and good collaboration with other professionals in the team around the patient. You have a pronounced patient focus that is used in collaboration with the patient in choosing assessment and treatment methods. You work based on scientifically proven methods and clinical experience and have a good ability to organize and structure your patient work.

We value personal qualities such as teamwork ability, flexibility, and independence. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. A B driver's license is required as the job involves travel.
