About the Job

Are you a licensed nurse looking for a varied and independent job where you make a difference for people every day? We are now seeking staff for our short-term unit at Högsbotorp's care and nursing home in the South-West urban area.

The short-term unit started in February 2022 and is located at Högsbotorp's care and nursing home. In addition to short-term care, the facility caters to individuals with general care and support needs, dementia, and mental disabilities.

At the short-term unit, you will be one of five nurses working closely in a team with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, and care staff. The job involves dialogue and collaboration with several stakeholders where teamwork and problem-solving are significant parts. As a nurse at Högsbotorp's short-term unit, you will be responsible for collectively assessing the patient's needs for health care, rehabilitation, and support together with other staff members.

Collaboration and good community are highly valued. The unit has 30 places. The short-term units in Gothenburg City support individuals who need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to cope in everyday life, thus enabling them to stay at home. Patients are also cared for while waiting for another accommodation or patients who are at the end of life.

The flow of admissions and discharges is high in our short-term units, where the average length of stay for patients is around 14 days. Working in a short-term unit is free and varied. As a nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the patients you are responsible for. This includes assessing, investigating, planning, implementing measures, and documenting based on the patient's various health issues.

We want you to have a good work environment with a balance between work and leisure. If you feel good at work, you will also do a better job, ultimately leading to better service and care for those we serve. As a newcomer, we offer you an individually tailored introduction to help you feel secure in your role. Welcome to become part of an engaged team. Together, we create the best city in the world for a long and dignified life.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in short-term care; it is advantageous if you have further education in elderly care. It is desirable if you have prescribing rights for incontinence and aids. If you do not have this, you are expected to learn it during work hours. We prefer that you have several years of experience in the profession. A driving license (B) is required for the position, and evening and weekend shifts are included.

You, as an applicant, have a good ability to work collaboratively with others, focusing on the patient's best interests. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You also have the ability to work independently and make your own decisions in your work. You strive to provide high-quality care for patients by taking your tasks seriously, ensuring that you complete what you start, and making sure the work is done correctly. You provide a good reception to everyone you meet in your professional role by showing respect and consideration. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and can adapt your information according to the situation and the patient's needs.

If this sounds like an exciting and interesting job, you are warmly welcome to apply!
