About the Position
We are now looking for you who are at the beginning of your studies and want to work as a Dispatcher or Terminal Specialist during the summer of 2026 at APM Terminals. The department is part of Operations at APM Terminals Gothenburg.
As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for:
- Optimizing the loading and unloading of containers in various parts of the terminal.
- Achieving maximum productivity at the lowest cost, always with a focus on safety.
As a Dispatcher, you play an important role in communicating essential information to other stakeholders such as supervisors, crane operators, truck drivers, and colleagues in the planning department.
As a Terminal Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Managing deviations from the OCR system.
- Ensuring optimal use of the OCR system, guiding logistics operators.
- Working proactively to reduce deviations and minimize manual handling of containers.
In both roles, you will work shifts that may vary between day, evening, night, and weekends. APM Terminals would like you to start an introduction to the work a few times a week during the spring of 2026, transitioning to full-time from June to August. We are looking for someone who wants to continue as a part-time employee in APM's student pool after the employment.
About You
We are looking for someone studying logistics and/or economics with the goal of working in logistics in the future. We prefer that you have an analytical approach and are quick to learn new systems. Since the roles involve working with many parallel tasks in a sometimes fast-paced environment, it is essential that you appreciate a high work pace and enjoy working proactively.
It is an advantage if you have good knowledge and understanding of handling and flows of goods in a container terminal, but the most important thing is that you have an interest in logistics, not previous experience.
Requirements for the position:
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
- At least 1.5 years left of your studies.
- Availability to work throughout the summer.
- Ability to continue working part-time even after the summer.
A driver's license and access to your own car are required, as public transport is limited during the summer.
We will place great importance on personal suitability.
Other Information
The positions are consultancy assignments with a planned start on a part-time basis in the spring of 2026 and full-time from June to August. After that, there are good opportunities to continue growing within APM Terminals and work part-time during studies. As a consultant, you will be employed by Adecco Sweden.
Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Therefore, we encourage you to submit your application promptly.
The application deadline is 22/2-2026.
