Based on our unique collaborations with medical personnel, patients, relatives, user organizations, and suppliers, our ambition is to offer the best possible comprehensive solution for our patients and customers. We want to create conditions for an active life, and wherever you find us, we share the same mission: We help people maintain or regain their freedom of movement.

Ottobock Care in Stockholm has locations in Solna, Södertälje, Norrtälje, Dalens Hospital, and Danderyd Hospital. We are about 65 employees with unique competencies. Ottobock Care currently has agreements with Region Stockholm to provide complete orthopedic technical services as well as rehabilitation for amputees. We work today with all types of orthopedic aids and closely with healthcare through, among other things, team collaboration. We are in an exciting development phase as we have high ambitions to profile ourselves within orthopedic technology, amputation rehabilitation, and to continue refining our operations.

About the position

As an orthopedic technician with us, you will work to improve the quality of life for people by enhancing their mobility and independence. Your main tasks will consist of meeting patients to assess, adapt, and fit aids according to our prescription process. Initially, you will work with aids in the form of orthopedic shoes, insoles, and orthoses but with the opportunity to later expand your knowledge with additional aids tailored to needs, competence, and interest. You will be part of the clinical group together with orthopedic technical patient receivers, orthopedic technicians, orthopedic engineers, podiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, and psychologists.

We offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment based in Solna. Working hours are weekdays, between 08:00-16:30. Start date according to agreement. We have a collective agreement which means you are covered by collectively agreed insurances. Travel in the job may occur.

You will be offered a comprehensive benefits package which includes an annual bonus according to our bonus policy, wellness allowance, employee discounts on existing products within the company, and vacation rights according to our local vacation scale. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our internal trainee program regarding work with orthopedic shoes and insoles.

About you

As a person, you take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. You make quick decisions and act on them despite limited information or difficult circumstances. You have good judgment under time pressure. At the same time, you have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work and meet deadlines.

We are looking for someone who is proficient in both Swedish and English and has good computer skills. It is an advantage if you have an education and degree in physiotherapy, naprapathy, or chiropractic. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
