As a specialist in sickness insurance, you will play a central role in assessing and developing the work surrounding one of our most significant social insurances. Here, you contribute your expertise to ensure legal certainty, quality, and support for colleagues.

Coaching, Development, and Collaboration

The role of a specialist within an insurance department entails a particular responsibility for the correct and uniform application of social insurance and other applicable legislation. By being a close legal support to caseworkers, unit managers, and development activities, you contribute to good legal quality. You support managers and employees in legal matters by providing advice and support regarding insurance interpretation and current processing procedures. Through a coaching and situation-adapted approach, you help ensure that caseworkers/investigators have the right competence to meet the needs of applicants and insured individuals. You actively contribute to creating a workplace learning climate and identify the overall competence needs, initiating possible development paths. As an employee at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you have a high awareness of security since the agency deals with confidential information.

Your work includes contributing to changes and developments in processes, and you play an important role in implementing regulatory and process changes. The assignment also includes supporting unit managers with planning. It may also involve conducting training. You will carry out and follow up on quality work in case handling related to your specialist area. As a specialist within the sickness insurance specialist support department, you are part of a unit with specialists and have close collaboration with other support functions. The work is largely conducted remotely from your place of employment, meaning that colleagues, managers, and those you support are located in different parts of the country.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
  • has a coaching approach
  • can understand and analyze complex issues
  • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
  • has good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • is confident and trustworthy, even in stressful situations
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.

It is an advantage if you

  • have experience in mentoring and/or training new employees
  • have a law degree or equivalent
  • have in-depth knowledge of social insurance, administrative law, and public access and confidentiality
  • have experience in quality assurance/decision-making of cases
  • have several years of experience providing qualified support in legal matters at an authority or court.

A number of positions, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable.
