The Regional Adult Psychiatry in Falun & Säter has a county-wide mission within adult psychiatry, responsible for psychiatric emergency care, inpatient care, and addiction treatment. Individuals residing or staying in Dalarna can seek help for their acute mental conditions at the psychiatric emergency department in Säter, where the patient's psychiatric condition is assessed. If there is a need for withdrawal treatment due to addiction and/or dependency, one can turn to the addiction emergency department in Falun during the day, where the need for withdrawal treatment is evaluated. We are a clinic where both patients and employees are in focus. We strive to create a person-centered care of high quality together. Care Assistant (temporary position) ward 65, Regional Adult Psychiatry Falun

If you are a care assistant and want to be part of our operations, apply to ward 65. There is a possibility for extension after the temporary position ends.

On ward 65 in Falun, patients in need of medical withdrawal treatment are cared for. The ward has 14 beds, divided between the intake side and the motivation side. Patients are cared for both voluntarily and under LVM and LPT. The ward has its own emergency department, and adjacent to the ward is the LARO clinic for patients with opioid dependency.

On the ward, care assistants, nurses, and doctors work in teams around the patients. The clinic's treatment team is also connected to the ward, with access to psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Good cooperation with the municipalities' social services, primary care, and psychiatric outpatient care is a success factor in the work.

We are looking for someone who

• is a trained care assistant who has completed the Health and Care program or the vocational package Health and Care in adult education, has a diploma from a YH education as a Psychiatric Care Assistant of 400 points or equivalent relevant education.
• has a diploma from the Health and Care College
• has experience from somatic comorbidity
• has experience from addiction care and psychiatry

Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, the title care assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title care assistant within health and care.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care, but with a different title than care assistant. For those offered a job with us at Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title care assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title care assistant.
