The Dialysis Unit in Ludvika is a smaller, nurse-led unit. Here, you will have the opportunity to combine nursing with medical technology in an operation characterized by clear routines and a person-centered approach. We have seven treatment places and treat about 14-15 patients with chronic dialysis needs, which creates conditions for long-term and close care relationships. The unit is a branch of the dialysis unit in Falun. Specialist doctors from Falun visit us twice a month and are available by phone at other times. In acute situations, we receive support from the medical on-call service at Ludvika Hospital.

Our regular opening hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30 and Sundays from 12:00 to 19:30. The unit is closed on Saturdays, and weekend duty occurs every other Sunday.

The position is full-time (38.25 hours/week) with the possibility of partial leave. You also have some opportunity to influence your schedule through individual schedule planning (ISP).

Nurse, Dialysis Unit Ludvika Hospital Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for nursing and prescribed dialysis treatment. Your tasks include managing central access, inserting needles, operating dialysis machines, and monitoring patients' treatment. The nursing needs vary depending on the patients' general condition, which means that you will both perform monitoring tasks and be ready to handle acute situations. You also have the opportunity to take on your own responsibilities. To ensure you feel secure in the role, we offer a comprehensive onboarding program lasting eight weeks. After completing and passing the onboarding, you will work as a nurse with a special function.

Requirements:

We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in medical technology.

• Previous work experience, preferably in inpatient care
