Community Planning, Culture, and Public Health Administration (SKF)

is one of the country's broadest and most diversified administrations and includes seven units (Rescue Service, Environmental Unit, Planning and Building Unit, Technical Unit, Meal Unit, Culture Unit, and Recreation Unit) as well as an Administrative Staff. Our goal is to be a forward-leaning, change-oriented, and service-minded administration that is held together by our common development work and our striving to enhance each other in our respective professions. At SKF, we work at a fast pace with the broadest palette of municipal tasks, which requires our employees to look beyond their respective operations to contribute to a whole within the administration. In our operations, we respond to three political committees: the Community Planning Committee, the Culture & Public Health Committee, and the Conflict of Interest Committee.

Meal Unit

is a consolidated operation that produces and serves meals to guests of all ages. The operation consists of several production kitchens and reception kitchens spread throughout the municipality. About 85 people work in our kitchens, distributed across 32 workplaces.

Description

Are you passionate about good food prepared from scratch with a little extra care and with the goal of providing the best possible service? As a chef in our kitchens, you prepare meals and special diets with joy for our customers.

We work with good food products, providing the opportunity to develop and at the same time giving you the chance to gain broad experience from our kitchens.

The tasks include cooking, traditional and special diet cooking, as well as all other tasks that occur in the kitchen.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with a culinary education, is a chef/cook, or has professional experience deemed equivalent. Knowledge of special diets is an advantage. Orders may occur, thus computer skills are a must. A B driver's license is required.

As a chef with pool service at the Meal Unit in Laholm Municipality, you are offered a varied job with a lot of responsibility. You will be placed in a home kitchen, and when needed, you will work out in the field. Both acute and planned absences are filled by the pool service, and you will be available for all kitchens in Laholm Municipality, including schools, preschools, and nursing homes.

We want you to be service-oriented and responsible. Great emphasis is placed on flexibility as you are expected to adapt at short notice; variations in working hours and tasks occur, as well as weekend work when the need arises.

You are resourceful and not afraid to try new things. You are meticulous and positive and can work both independently and in a team. You must master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We place great importance on personal suitability. The work requires good physical condition in terms of strength, endurance, and mobility.

Scheduled working hours Mon-Fri. Some weekend work and varied working hours may occur in case of urgent need for substitutes. Employment rate 80-100%.
