Hägersten-Älvsjö is one of 11 district administrations in the city of Stockholm with about 3000 employees. Today, we are one of the city's largest districts with approximately 130,000 residents. Workplace Description

Do you enjoy meeting people and want a varied and eventful job where no workday is the same? Then the assignment as a substitute with us might be something for you! Hägersten-Älvsjö home care provides municipal home care in the district.

The staff is divided into 7 work teams that operate in different geographical areas. The unit consists of about 180 employees who work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Job Description

In home care, you work with our clients in their own homes and support them with the tasks they have been granted. During your shift, you walk, bike, or drive between clients' homes. The assistance in the homes is usually performed alone, but you are part of a work team. You will provide good care and social support to our clients according to decisions made by the case managers. You will help and support clients in their daily lives. The client's participation and self-determination are the focus to create security and enable them to stay in their homes.

You should maintain good contact with relatives and other actors. You will take part in implementation plans and social documentation. When working in home care, you need to be prepared for pets to be present in the clients' homes. Your personal qualities are important to us! Your work should reflect the municipality's values: security, dignity, and self-determination. We place great importance on your social competence and positive attitude towards working with people.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a good ability to express themselves in spoken and written Swedish.
  • Is accustomed to using IT as a support in everyday life.
  • Has a high school education in care programs or equivalent education.
  • Has experience in documenting and participating in implementation plans.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Previous experience in healthcare.
  • A driving license (B) and driving experience.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes at the city of Stockholm, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
