We are looking for an immediate School Counselor for a position in Sandviken.

We are seeking a school counselor for a municipal assignment in Sandviken municipality.

Location:

Sandviken municipality, high school (on-site work – no remote work)

Period:

2026-02-16 – 2026-06-12

Scope:

75–100% (approximately 30–40 hours/week)

Working hours:

Weekdays, primarily daytime (overtime does not occur)

Other:

No possibility for remote work

Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle required

No extension option

Job responsibilities:

The assignment involves working as a school counselor within Sandviken municipality's high school, as part of student health services. The focus is on psychosocial support for students, collaboration with school staff, and working according to the school's governing documents and applicable legislation.

Requirements:

Degree in Social Work

Several years of experience working as a school counselor (at least about 2 years)

Very good knowledge of the school's governing documents and social services legislation

Experience working within student health services (experience from high school and social services is also meritorious)

Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

Experience documenting in digital journal systems, preferably Prorenata

Personal qualities: structured, confident in decision-making, communicative, collaborative
