Security Manager at Swedec

Do you want a meaningful job where you make a difference for Sweden's defense capability? Swedec is now looking for a security manager who wants to contribute to developing and strengthening security efforts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence, develop, and drive security protection work in close collaboration with management and operations.

The Total Defense Ammunition and Mine Clearance Center (Swedec) is part of the Armed Forces and is a national competence center for ammunition and mine clearance operations on land as well as military search services. Our operations are central to Sweden's defense, and we strive to meet every threat and overcome every challenge. Through training, development, and operational efforts, we create conditions for a stronger defense and a safer society.

As a security manager, you will belong to the Swedec staff and report directly to the chief of staff. The security manager is responsible for security services and reports to C Swedec regarding security services. The security manager leads, coordinates, develops, and follows up on security protection efforts. The role combines independent work with collaboration in projects and close management, providing both variety and influence in daily work. As a security manager, you will be responsible for two employees.

Main Responsibilities

  • Document security protection activities.
  • Support managers at Swedec regarding security issues.
  • Follow up and share the current security threat picture.
  • Conduct protection and security discussions.
  • Coordinate work with Swedec security protection analysis.
  • Develop routines and instructions within security services.
  • Ensure that security reporting is handled according to applicable regulations.
  • Lead, coordinate, develop, and follow up on IT security efforts.

Requirements:

  • Approved professional officer examination.
  • Documented experience or education in security services or experience/education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Very good computer skills.
  • Driver's license B.

To succeed in this role, you should be analytical, action-oriented, and confident in your leadership. You take responsibility for both individual and shared goals, support employees, and create conditions for the development of security work. You have high integrity and the ability to plan and execute work in the short and long term. Social competence, pedagogical ability, and engagement in developing the organization are crucial.

Meritorious:

  • Approved security manager training in the Armed Forces.
  • Approved IT security manager training in the Armed Forces.
  • Experience working with ISUS.
  • Experience working in staff.
  • Experience working as a manager.
