With us in the social welfare operations, about 40 employees work together, consisting of social welfare officers, senior social welfare officers, housing adaptation officers, and fee officers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The operation is responsible for authority exercise/social welfare case management for residents of Borlänge with various forms of disabilities. Your core task is to focus on the resident of Borlänge, assess the need for interventions, and make decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), as well as follow up on decided interventions.
You will gather sufficient information to ensure a legally secure case management and will conduct investigative conversations with residents of Borlänge who are in various life situations. You will also collaborate closely with Region Dalarna, the Social Insurance Agency, schools, and other authorities related to the assignment. We base our work on the IBIC method (Individual Needs in Focus) which supports and ensures that the resident of Borlänge receives the right support. Our goal within the operation is a prompt and legally secure case management where documentation takes place in the operational system Lifecare.
The operation is divided into different teams based on target groups. In addition to your own cases, you will also have other development assignments within the operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is an educated social worker or has a previous equivalent education, such as a social care program or social work program.
We prefer that you have experience in social welfare case management and/or authority exercise, giving you an understanding of the assignment and the challenges it entails. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have prior experience in conducting conversations, building relationships, and working with development issues as well as driving work forward. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge/experience in documenting and making decisions in cases based on current legislation.
If you have training in IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus) and MI conversations (Motivational Interviewing), it is considered an asset. Since the work involves a lot of documentation and meetings with residents of Borlänge, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you master additional languages, it is considered an asset. The position requires that you have a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle.
We are looking for someone who excels at thinking solution-focused and analytically, as you will analyze a large amount of information where you need to be able to draw quick conclusions and make the right decisions. You have excellent communication skills, being clear and pedagogical in your collaboration with others. It is important that you can convey both positive and negative decisions with a clear and informative approach. It is also important to have a good ability to conduct conversations and create trusting relationships with others. You are skilled at prioritizing and structuring your tasks. You have the ability to plan, be involved, and be engaged to drive our development work forward.
