About the role/tasks

As a strategic buyer, you will be part of a category team responsible for driving the strategic agenda towards key suppliers and securing optimal business solutions. You will work closely with production, product development, and suppliers to coordinate requirements and create added value in quality, cost, and technology.

Your role includes:

• Responsibility for supplier performance and handling escalated issues
• Driving purchasing activities in development projects and making commercial decisions
• Long-term cost work and establishing supplier agreements
• Improving and developing collaboration with suppliers
• Participating in strategic projects, such as make-or-buy decisions and supply chain localization

Who you are

You have a strong business understanding and an analytical, commercial approach. You are strategic, communicative, and enjoy close collaboration with internal and external parties.

Requirements:

• Experience in purchasing machined metal components
• Legal and commercial experience
• Experience in consignment management with suppliers
• Ability to drive effective supplier relationships
• Good system proficiency (ERP, management systems, code of conduct)
• Self-driven and proactive, accustomed to working independently
• Experience in a process- and project-driven environment
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S
• Experience from a technology-intensive environment

Your employment

The position means that you will be employed by Jefferson Wells but will spend your working days at our client. This is a consulting assignment lasting 6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to the client.
