The Psychosis Area offers psychiatric interventions for individuals with psychotic issues. We take a holistic approach to mental health that is based on a combination of medical, psychological, and social interventions.

The Psychosis Area in Malmö aims to provide effective psychosis care with a respectful approach to enable a good life. Our mission within outpatient and inpatient care is to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients with diagnoses of schizophrenia, delusional symptoms, and schizoaffective syndromes, as well as all conditions where psychosis development is suspected. The Psychosis Area consists of four outpatient clinics and three inpatient units.

Ward 87 is an inpatient ward with 14 beds for patients with psychotic disorders and disabilities, as well as first-time psychotic patients. We have about 25 staff members working on the ward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a new nursing colleague to join our team. We always see new staff members as an opportunity to develop our operations!

We provide you with a developing job, both professionally and personally, where development opportunities and focus are guided by the needs of our patients and their relatives.

As a nurse, you will be responsible for the care of our patients and participate in medication, assessment, and documentation in our journal systems. We also place great importance on conversations with patients and teamwork with other professionals in the ward, all to ensure a more person-centered care. Additionally, you will collaborate with the unit's outpatient clinics, municipalities, and other care providers. Nursing documentation is done in the Melior data system, according to the VIPS model.

Region Skåne invests in increased competence development for nurses. For newly graduated nurses, there is a clinical foundation year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. For nurses who wish to specialize, educational benefits are offered in prioritized areas. The goal in the Psychosis Area is for as many nurses as possible to have further education in psychiatry, and we continuously create opportunities for study leave.

We are also generous with other training, both internally and externally, as we believe it is important for our staff to continuously develop to provide even better care for our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare and have an interest in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required.

As a person, you are flexible, have a positive attitude, and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are engaged, proactive, and have a positive view of improvement and development work. Furthermore, you see good collaboration skills as a prerequisite for doing a good job and contribute to keeping the workgroup enthusiastic and positive. Additionally, you are secure, resilient to stress, structured, and meticulous in your work approach, and have an empathetic attitude towards our patients. We place great importance on personal suitability.
