Every year, Region Västerbotten purchases goods and services worth several billion kronor. A well-functioning procurement process is therefore an important tool to ensure that tax funds are used in the best possible way. In the procurement department, we work to ensure that the right goods and services are in place, with the right quality and cost. Through structured processes and close collaboration with the operations, we create conditions for healthcare and other functions to focus on their socially important missions.

The procurement department consists of a total of 38 employees divided into two sections: procurement and strategic purchasing. The procurement section includes 17 procurement officers. We are currently in an intensive development phase where we are expanding by hiring three new procurement officers. We are looking for someone who wants a qualified and meaningful job where you can make a real difference.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a procurement officer with us, you provide important service and enable initiatives that impact many. The role primarily involves conducting procurements of goods and services for the region's various operations. Your responsibility as a procurement officer includes leading the operations through the procurement process to ensure their needs are met while ensuring that rules and guidelines are followed.

You work both independently and in teams, often in a project management role where you drive processes from needs analysis to completed contracts and follow-up. Once the procurements are completed, you participate in the implementation of the contract in the operations as needed. The role involves significant personal responsibility and the opportunity to plan and prioritize your work.

Collaboration is a key factor for us. You work closely with colleagues in the unit as well as with representatives from core operations. Dialogue and advice to the operations regarding procurement and contract issues are an important part of the assignment. We actively work to develop our working methods and create benefits for those we serve.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least two years of experience in conducting procurements/purchases of goods and services, managing the process from needs analysis to completed contracts. It is advantageous if you have post-secondary education in purchasing/procurement or relevant university education. Since the Public Procurement Act (LOU) governs our work, you will have the opportunity to learn this with us if you do not already have that competence.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with others and build good relationships. Since you will lead groups with representatives from the operations through procurement processes, you need to be able to communicate clearly and lead the process forward with a focus on the common goal. You are structured and meticulous in your work approach and have a good ability to prioritize your tasks. You have good IT skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
