Guide to Naturum Vindelfjällen in Hemavan

Considering winter mountains, visitors, and mountain tours.

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute in the role of guide at Naturum Vindelfjällen in Hemavan.

Naturum Vindelfjällen aims to spread knowledge about the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, its natural and cultural values, thereby creating an understanding of the importance of preserving the area. Here, visitors gain knowledge about and engagement with the valuable nature, as well as tips on attractions and tour suggestions. Job Responsibilities

You will work with information and guiding visitors within the operations of the naturum. The naturums in Västerbotten have exhibitions that were inaugurated in 2023. One person is needed in Hemavan during the spring winter of 2026. You will welcome visitors at the naturum, guide in the exhibition, and plan and carry out activities for families with children. This role also involves working extensively with social media, taking photos/videos, creating posters, and planning activities for the summer. You will work independently with visitors and groups but will have regular contact and collaboration with the naturum in Ammarnäs. You will also handle cash management and sales.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in winter mountains
• Has the physical ability for simpler ski tours in mountain terrain
• Has good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish to perform the job duties
• Has a B driver's license.

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

• Completed or ongoing education in biology, preferably focusing on winter ecology at the university level, mountain leader, or nature guide training
• Broad ecological competence focusing on fauna and nature conservation
• Previous experience of spring winter in Hemavan and Vindelfjällen
• Experience in nature guiding or as a tour leader
• Knowledge of Sami culture and reindeer husbandry
• Good knowledge of English and German.

We place great importance on social skills, both with children and adults.

Conditions

The position is a seasonal employment in Hemavan during the period 2026-02-16 — 2026-04-29.
