About the role – Lead Mechanic
As a lead mechanic with us, you will have a practical, varied, and technically challenging everyday life where you combine operational work with clear technical leadership. You will work operationally with mechanical assembly in series production of special machines, while also serving as a natural reference point for the team in daily operations.
You will also be involved in and drive parts of our ongoing automation projects, from assembly and technical solutions to improvements in work methods and quality.
The role involves close collaboration with electricians, commissioning personnel, project organization, and production to ensure efficient flows and high technical standards.
You will be part of an engaged team of about 10 people who together build machines with a high technical level and quality, where FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) is a natural step in the process.
Working hours are scheduled for weekdays, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00, with some flexibility possible. We have an inclusive culture where we support each other, collaborate to solve problems, and have fun together.
In this role, planned travel may occur, both within Sweden and abroad.
For this reason, we will need to see an extract from the criminal record in connection with the recruitment process.
Examples of tasks
Overall responsibility for mechanical assembly according to technical drawings and instructions
Support own and hired personnel and ensure and control that the instructions from the designer are followed.
Be involved in planning, prioritizing, and executing automation and machine projects
Continuous follow-up of work progress. In consultation with production leaders and project managers, decide on appropriate actions in case of deviations from the current schedule.
Check and prepare materials, organize the assembly area, etc.
Work on developing instructions and standardizing work methods.
Function as technical support for mechanics in the team.
Be responsible for mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
Collaborate closely with electricians, testers, commissioning personnel, and project management.
Actively participate in FAT and contribute during commissioning.
Drive and participate in continuous improvements of work methods, processes, and technical solutions.
Who are you?
You have several years of experience in mechanical assembly within industry, production, or automation environments
You have education in mechanics at least at the high school level, or equivalent practical experience
You have very good experience in reading and working from technical drawings
You have experience in taking informal leadership or acting as a technical key person
You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
You have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
You have a B driver's license
We believe that you are practically oriented, solution-focused, and confident in your technical competence. You work in a structured manner, are quality-conscious, and enjoy taking responsibility – both for your own work and for the whole. As a person, you are unpretentious, curious, and contribute to a positive team spirit.
Great importance is placed on your personal qualities and your willingness to help develop both the role, the team, and our automation solutions – in the short and long term.
Why work with us?
We are a technology-driven company in growth – and it shows in our everyday life. Here you will work with advanced automation solutions in a modern and well-organized production environment.
With us, team spirit, practical skills, and technical curiosity are at the center. We believe in freedom under responsibility, in development in everyday life, and that it should feel good to go to work.
You will be part of a newly established department where you will have the opportunity to influence work methods, routines, and technical solutions from the ground up – and where your experience truly makes a difference.
