About the Assignment as Senior Buyer

We at Jefferson Wells are now looking for a senior buyer for a consulting assignment expected to last for one year starting in February 2026. The assignment is with a well-established client in the manufacturing/industrial sector in Arvika where purchasing plays a crucial role in efficiency, quality, and profitability.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring access to goods and services required for both direct and indirect operations - from raw materials and production-related services to IT equipment, maintenance, and travel.

Your Responsibilities

As a senior consultant, you will work independently and have a broad responsibility, including:

• Driving and developing purchasing processes for goods and services
• Working with sourcing, supplier selection, and supplier development
• Negotiating prices, contracts, and terms with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery reliability
• Challenging and monitoring supplier performance to increase efficiency and competitiveness
• Leading or contributing to projects and improvement initiatives
• Coaching and supporting more junior colleagues as needed

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least five years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement
• Good experience in negotiations and supplier contacts
• The ability to work in a structured, analytical, and business-oriented manner
• Experience working independently in complex environments
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
