About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Accountant for a consulting assignment at a government agency in Stockholm. The assignment requires previous experience in public accounting and a strong ability to quickly understand the organization and its tasks. As an Accountant, the main responsibilities include working in accounting systems with record maintenance and forecast updates, producing reports on financial results, and conducting analyses regarding these.

Other tasks included in the position:

Work with reconciliations, troubleshooting, and controls
Budgeting and forecasting work.

The agency conducts classified operations, which means that a background check followed by a security interview may be relevant for the final candidate.

Assignment Period and Scope

The position as an Accountant is a full-time consulting assignment with an immediate start and is planned to last for 4-6 months (maximum 1000 hours).

Requirements for the Position:

University degree in finance or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in a similar role. Alternatively, high school or equivalent education in the relevant field and five (5) years of experience as an accountant.
Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
Good knowledge of relevant accounting systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
Experience in public accounting
Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
