Aberia is owned by Aberia AS, a Norwegian family-owned company with approximately 1200 employees, founded in 1981. The owner is NHC Group, which operates a wide range of welfare services.

We are looking for an engaged and responsible personal assistant for an active woman with cerebral palsy and neuropsychiatric functional variations. She is an active person who enjoys training, fashion, and has both a dog and a cat, which means that you applying also need to be comfortable with animals.

About the Position

The assignment involves providing support in daily life and assisting with typical tasks within personal assistance, as well as being a source of security in everyday life. Challenging behaviors may also occur in the work, so it is an advantage if you have experience with low-arousal responses (LAB) and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a driver's license and access to a car, as the workplace is located away from public transport options.
• Has experience or understanding of how to respond to challenging behaviors in a safe and low-arousal manner.
• Understands the importance of being emotionally stable and can manage their own emotional state, as your response and mood have a significant impact on the individual.
• Has the ability to take a mental step back when the situation requires it and is careful to follow routines.
• Is quick and stable in action, mentally present, and has a calm, balanced approach.
• Can contribute to a stable and secure everyday life by supporting and leading activities where the individual needs assistance.

Job Scope:

Rolling schedule, varying working hours 75-80%
