Cook/Grill Master with Experience in Open Fire and Argentine Cuisine
Gaucho Pampa is looking for an experienced cook/grill master - Asador for work at events and in the production kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and control fire (wood and charcoal, no briquettes) for cooking using various techniques: grilling, hanging food over open fire, griddle, frying in a pan over fire, rescoldo (cooking in ash), infiernillo (fire both above and below), and wood oven.
- Prepare and cook large cuts of meat and whole animals such as suckling pigs, lambs, chickens, fish, etc.
- Produce own raw materials and products used throughout the year: bread, cookies, empanadas, jams, doughs, and croquettes, etc.
- Assist in the production of fresh and dried charcuterie products such as salami, lomo, coppa, bresaola, pancetta, chorizo, and sausages, etc.
- Be responsible for staff at events when acting as a team leader.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has documented experience in cooking over open fire and traditional techniques.
- Is self-sufficient, meticulous, and has good teamwork skills.
- Has a valid driver's license B (preferable but not required).
About the position:
The position is seasonal from mid-May to September, with the possibility of extension depending on the needs of the business. Work mainly takes place at events in southern Sweden and in our kitchen in Skåne.
