Imagine stepping into Tryffelsvinet where the aromas of slow-cooked tomato sauce, garlic sizzling in olive oil, grilled meat, freshly baked bread, and a hint of basil waft through the air.

The atmosphere is lively and warm. Conversations murmur, glasses clink, laughter bounces between the tables. It’s relaxed yet thoughtful, rustic yet soulful. Here, it’s just as natural to share dishes as it is to share stories.

Tryffelsvinet is not just a restaurant; it’s a place to linger. To let the meal take time, the conversations grow long, and the laughter ring out loud. You enjoy, share, and celebrate life around the table, just like in Italy.

About us

Tryffelsvinet is run by us, Patte and Kattis, who moved to Skåne with our children in 2020 to open Tryffelsvinet in Kivik. In late summer 2024, we took the next step and opened Tryffelsvinet Ystad, in the charming old train station.

Both of our restaurants reflect us, what inspires us, and what we love. The Italian kitchen is our core: focus on details, genuineness, great ingredients, and a desire to develop while always keeping it “simple” with bold, clean flavors.

The menu is filled with classic Italian elements: pasta dishes that make your taste buds sing, antipasti to share with friends, seafood risotto, and juicy meat dishes crafted with passion and skill.

We are passionate about providing service that is professional, knowledgeable, and familiar, without ever feeling stiff. Tryffelsvinet should be a place where everyone feels welcome, both guests and colleagues.

We work ourselves on the floor and are part of the daily operations. Together with our colleagues, we invest a lot of ourselves in what we do. We spend a lot of time together, and for us, it’s a given to create a well-functioning team where we work together, for each other, and for the guest. Here, you should enjoy, have fun, and love coming to work!

From December 20 to mid-February, we will be closed for recovery and winter rest. An important part of our philosophy to be able to give full focus, energy, and quality throughout the rest of the year.

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience as a chef who wants to work in a kitchen where passion, quality, and community are at the center. At Tryffelsvinet, you will work in an engaged team and in a warm, lively restaurant environment where food and the guest experience are always the focus.

You may have previously worked with Italian cuisine, or you may have a strong desire to learn the Italian kitchen.

For us, the most important thing is that you have a genuine interest in food, respect for ingredients, and pride in your craft. Food is about flavors, pace, and passion but also about community and professional pride in what we do together.

You understand that a kitchen works best when supporting each other, sharing responsibility and joy, and working as a team. Every plate that leaves the kitchen is part of the overall experience, and with us, the guest is always at the center.

We offer a workplace with a high tempo, lots of heart, and a warm atmosphere, where you get the opportunity to develop, learn, and be an important part of a passionate team.

For us, good work ethic, punctuality, collaboration without hierarchies, order and cleanliness, and taking care of your workplace are not just good qualities; they are a given prerequisite.

We are looking for chefs for both Tryffelsvinet Ystad starting mid/late February and for Tryffelsvinet Kivik starting in April.

Opening hours: Wed–Sun, day and evening.

Welcome to become a part of Tryffelsvinet where joy of food, team spirit, and Italian passion are in focus.
