Job Advertisement: Restaurant Staff at Scandic Malmö City
Scandic Malmö City is, as the name suggests, very centrally located - by the canal with proximity to Gustav Adolfs Torg as well as Malmö's shopping streets. The hotel's restaurant is a natural meeting place for our visiting guests. With guests from all corners of the world, we create good relationships with our guests every day.
Our guest satisfaction is our priority, and we have a very strong service culture here - a service culture made possible by having satisfied employees who are proud of their workplace and see opportunities for continued development.
We are now looking for a skilled employee for the restaurant at Scandic Malmö City.
No matter why the guest comes to us, few things are as appreciated as a friendly face welcoming them. You act as a host together with the rest of the hotel team and create a world-class guest experience.
With us, you will take significant responsibility for making the decisions necessary to satisfy the guest, and the teams develop and improve work methods and service as the world changes. We are convinced that it is when you get to develop and contribute all your skills and experience that we exceed the guest's expectations. On top of that, we have fun at work!
So bring your experiences, your commitment, and your way of thinking to us - and contribute to a culture where we truly care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic!
What does the role involve?
You are the first the guest meets in our restaurant, so it is crucial that you have a warm demeanor and are attentive to details and the guest's needs. You have a burning interest in food and beverages and like order and tidiness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to provide our guests with a fantastic dining experience. Your main tasks will be to serve food and beverages and to be responsible for your own cash register. You will also support the hotel team with other tasks as needed.
Who are you?
To fit into the role, we believe you have at least two years of experience in similar work and experience in concept-driven operations. Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, that is an advantage.
However, the most important are your personal qualities and your attitude. To fit into the role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests.
Information about the position:
The position is a permanent part-time employment. You will work every other week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 18:00 to 22:30, and every other week on Wednesday and Thursday from 18:00 to 22:30.
We only accept applications via our website. All applications will be processed continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so we ask you to apply as soon as possible. In this recruitment, we use a simple service test during the selection process.
We look forward to welcoming you to us at Scandic!
Ps. on our website, you can read even more about the position, our benefits, and what it is like to work at Scandic!
We go further when differences are embraced. With us, you have the space to be yourself and develop in the direction you want, with secure conditions and fair agreements as a foundation. Bring your experiences, your commitment, and your way of thinking to us - contribute to a culture where we truly care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic.
