Tullverket is looking for a Data Protection and Information Security Coordinator

Tullverket is an authority with enormous data resources and great ambitions to utilize this as a strategic asset in our mission to create a safe and secure society.

To ensure that we handle and process our data in an efficient, correct, and secure manner, we are now seeking reinforcement in our cross-cutting development area Data and Analysis.

Data and Analysis consists of three delivery areas: Data – governance and accessibility, BI – monitoring and analysis, and AI – advanced analysis, and is a strategically prioritized area within Tullverket. We assist all departments and divisions of the authority with knowledge, competence, and products in data management and data analysis, based on BI and AI technology. The work is carried out in an agile and cross-functional manner with competencies from both IT and operations as well as legal.

About the position

We are now looking for another Data Protection and Information Security Coordinator who wants to help develop one of Sweden's oldest authorities and create conditions for bringing Tullverket into the data-driven era?

In the role of Data Protection and Information Security Coordinator within Data and Analysis, you will work to create legal conditions for the development area's deliveries. You will also work on developing processes related to risk and impact assessments connected to the data and analysis area. This work is done both strategically and operationally in close collaboration with lawyers, security resources, as well as information owners and their appointed information security and data protection coordinators.

You will be part of a strategically important area that is under development and will be able to help shape both your own role and our work processes and direction. We are in an expansive and exciting phase.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Academic education in Law of at least 180 higher education credits
  • Current experience working with information security and data protection issues
  • The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Swedish citizenship

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working in public operations
  • Experience in change work related to process and operational development
  • Experience with agile development methods
  • Knowledge/understanding of data management from an analytical perspective
  • Knowledge/understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Location: We prefer the location to be in one of our main offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö, but we are also open to alternative locations at any of Tullverket's existing fixed locations.

The employment is a permanent position and may begin with a 6-month probationary period, and individual salary setting applies.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Security clearance with register control according to the Security Protection Act will be conducted before employment, as the position is placed in a security class. Tullverket is a total defense authority, and upon employment, you may be assigned to Tullverket in times of war.
