Job Responsibilities

We offer an important role where you will be a key player in managing finances and contracts. You will be part of the property management unit, where 9 financial managers work. You will collaborate closely within the unit and with City Properties, sharing experiences and developing our common working methods.

As a financial manager, your main responsibilities will include managing the section's finances, lease agreements, customer orders, and property financial analyses. Your tasks will involve financial reconciliations, financial reviews with managers, renegotiation of lease agreements, forecasting, and analyses.

You will belong to the culture and leisure section, where your focus will be on premises used by entities other than the city's administrations. The property portfolio under your responsibility amounts to approximately 120,000 square meters and includes properties such as Folkets Park, Malmö Live, and Kvarteret S:t Gertrud. Our finances consist of an annual operating budget for our properties and planned maintenance measures.

We offer a flexible and varied job where you will be responsible for planning your work and workdays, along with a work environment and colleagues characterized by quality awareness and mutual care.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in property economics or a similar education and experience that can be considered equivalent. You should have at least 1 year of experience working with property economic issues. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills and system familiarity are required for the position. Experience in property economic analyses and budget follow-up is seen as a significant advantage. It is also beneficial if you have knowledge/training in the Land Code, rental law, and/or property law, as well as experience in lease negotiations.

To thrive with us, we believe you are an unpretentious person with a knack for numbers who enjoys a fast-paced work environment. You pay attention to details while understanding the bigger picture. The role involves many contacts, both within the section and with other units, tenants, and administrations, requiring good communication skills. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy collaborating while being self-driven and taking responsibility for your tasks. You are also someone who is motivated to develop both the organization and yourself. The role may involve rapid changes, so it is essential that you can work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Being receptive to constructive feedback and learning from it is a given for you.

Since everything Malmö City does is based on our core values of respect, engagement, and creativity, it is crucial that these values resonate with you as they do with us in our work.
