Welcome to Us

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

With us at the Home Care in Kungsholmen, you are part of a teamwork to ensure that our elderly residents of Kungsholmen have a functioning everyday life, and where we make a difference in people's lives every day.

We operate from two centrally located offices, one on Kronobergsgatan by Fridhemsplan and one on Wivalliusgatan in Marieberg – both close to bus and subway. The unit consists of about 60 permanent employees and is led by two unit managers, along with coordinators, an administrator, and documentation representatives.

Now we are looking for you who want to work as a substitute or fill in as needed – and who shares our desire to make a difference for the elderly.

We Offer

With us, you will receive:

  • A meaningful and developing workplace where you truly make a difference
  • Supportive and experienced colleagues who help each other
  • Professional development and training to grow in your role
  • A safe working environment focused on care and respect

Your Role

As a nursing assistant in home care, you are a key person in many people's lives.

You meet the elderly in their homes and provide support in their daily lives – always focusing on safety, participation, and self-determination. The goal is for the elderly to be able to stay at home as long as possible. You work based on assistance decisions and are responsible for providing services that promote the individual's ability and quality of life. The work also includes responding to safety alarms, documenting services according to applicable guidelines, and participating in coordinated individual planning meetings (SIP). You collaborate closely with nurses, occupational therapists, and the home rehabilitation team – always with the individual in focus.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school education in the nursing program, health care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience in documentation
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written

We place particular emphasis on the following personal abilities and skills: You have engagement and a desire to make a difference. You have a good ability to collaborate with others. As a person, you are secure and stable, with a good ability to adapt to new circumstances. You listen and adjust to the recipient and the situation. You are attentive and accommodating in your interactions, with a willingness and ability to help others.

Selection is ongoing, so do not wait to apply!

Your Application

To strengthen the focus on the competencies and experience required for this role, you do not need to attach a personal letter. In assessing your application, we will base it on your CV and a number of questions you will need to answer when applying for the position. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at focusing on each person's skills and thus counteracting discrimination.
