We are now seeking an Occupational Therapist who wants to work with us.

We hope you are our new colleague! Our goal is good care and individualized support for the elderly, and by working in a team with physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff. We collaborate around the elderly to achieve this. The operation is run by a unit manager who has a close leadership style.

Nytorgsgården is a care and nursing home with 34 dementia places distributed over three floors. In the fall, we will open three additional places. Nytorgsgården is perfectly located by Nytorget with easy access to subway and bus connections.

We are looking for you, an occupational therapist, who wants to help develop tomorrow's elderly care. Here you have the opportunity to influence and work for a good working environment with high quality goals for those we serve, with the elderly at the center.

We are in a development phase where your engagement and interest in elderly care is important.

The Södermalm district invests in elderly care, among other things, through its own development unit, with competencies such as dietitian, care educator, and healthcare developer who help us drive projects and development forward together with the team at Nytorgsgården. We also receive good help and support from MAS and MAR.

Your Role

You will work together with physiotherapists and occupational therapists in a cross-professional team and together you will be responsible for the residents living here! You will perform individual assessments, plan and guide care staff, and lead some training groups. Other tasks may be added. Your responsibilities include prescribing and controlling aids.

We use the documentation system Vodok 2.0 and Parasol and work according to the care process.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and have experience working in elderly care. You also have training in prescribing aids and experience in guiding and delegating staff.

We are looking for someone who has a good sense of quality, contributes to a good atmosphere, takes responsibility, and has a good professional demeanor.

It is an advantage if you have: experience working in the documentation system Vodok 2.0, training in BPSD, Palliative Care, Senior Alert.

For the position, good computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing are required.
