We are over 340 employees at Folktandvården Kronoberg, and our operations consist of general dentistry and specialist dental care, a development clinic, mobile clinic, administrative office, and Service Center. We have clinics in 6 of the 8 municipalities in the county, and our common mission is to create good oral health for the people of Kronoberg.

The Specialist Dental Care at Klostergatan consists of departments for dental physiology, periodontology, and prosthetics, with 20 staff members. The clinic is centrally located alongside the Specialist Dental Care Orthodontics, general dentistry, and our administrative office on Klostergatan in Växjö. In addition to operations in Växjö, the clinic also has some activities in Ljungby.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the periodontology department, we primarily conduct patient treatment for periodontitis/peri-implantitis and implant surgery. We have a good and close collaboration between departments and with our referrers through consultation visits, open therapy planning sessions, and observations beyond referrals.

As a dental assistant with us, you will examine and treat as well as follow up on patients with periodontal and peri-implant diseases. You will be mentored by a specialist and participate in interdisciplinary meetings. There is also room for observation during surgical procedures performed at the clinic.

Your base will be a permanent full-time position as a general dentist at one of our general dentistry clinics, and you will also have a fixed-term position at 50% as a dental assistant within specialist dental care. Initially, the position in specialist dental care is limited to 6 months, but it may be extended for up to a maximum of 2 years.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a Swedish dental license, who has worked at least two years in general dentistry and has a passionate commitment to periodontology.
