Your role
As a team leader, you will be our face to the public and, together with the unit manager, ensure a welcoming sports facility for all our visitors. You will lead a workgroup that aims to provide high service and good treatment to our visitors. To ensure good accessibility for our citizens, we staff the facility between 06:00 and 24:00, 7 days a week. We work in shifts, evenings, and weekends. Our workgroup consists of 10 people, and we now need to strengthen it with a team leader.
You are a confident leader who, together with the unit manager, ensures a safe and welcoming sports facility for all our visitors. You lead and participate in daily work. You are responsible for planning and execution and are eager to create and develop routines to ensure high quality in the work. Since the work is spread over most of the day, every day of the week, it is important that you are comfortable with routines and follow-ups to ensure the quality of the work performed.
You are the face of our operations and provide the highest service to our visitors at the sports facility. Together, we share a common responsibility for maintaining high standards of service at our sports facilities, both outdoors and indoors. The work includes maintenance of artificial and natural grass fields, care of ice rinks, and cleaning of activity areas and facilities. With us, you have the advantage of working mostly outdoors, and the tasks vary by season, from maintaining green areas to snow removal.
Your workplace will primarily be Spånga IP and Husby Ice Rink, but you may also work at several facilities within the unit.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone with documented experience in a similar position, with responsibility for results and leading others on a daily basis. You have a high school education, basic computer skills, and a B driver's license. You need to have sufficient proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate fluently with our visitors. It is important that you can adapt your communication to the person and situation.
It is an advantage if you have experience with machinery, maintaining green areas, carpentry, or mechanical skills. It is also advantageous if you are or have been active in a sports club. Some parts of the work involve physically demanding tasks.
You work independently and see yourself as a good problem solver. Of course, you have a good attitude and collaborate well with both visitors and colleagues. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and have a flexible working style. Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus counteracting discrimination.
