Service Technician with a focus on marine electronics
currently based in Rosenvik, Stockholm
Troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and new installation
As a Technician at Marinteknik, your workplace will be the coast between Oxelösund and Hudiksvall, and the tasks are both varied and challenging, no day is the same. You will be part of a team with two technicians, supported by our supervisor and colleagues in Karlsro, Norrköping, and the rest of Sweden. We have an unpretentious culture where we share knowledge and help each other.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include performing troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance, as well as new installations within electrical/electronics and data. The majority of your work will involve the Swedish Maritime Administration's pilot boats/vessels. Work with lighthouses, weather stations (ViVa); DGPS stations (GPS reference stations); and traffic information centers (VTS) may also occur. The work is physically demanding and may involve working at heights.
The operations are based at Marinteknik's station in Rosenvik, and you will drive to the facilities. The job requires regular overnight stays in hotels, often every week.
By ensuring that our pilot boats and maritime safety devices maintain a high standard, you contribute to ensuring that Sweden's shipping is safe for both people and the environment.
Who are you?
In this role, we want you to have the following background:
• At least a high school diploma in electrical/electronics or approved training as a Ship Electrician, or several years of work experience in a technical profession within electrical/electronics.
• Experience in measurement technology within the electrical/electronics field
• Experience in troubleshooting/fault rectification within electrical/electronics
• A valid driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle
• Good computer skills and experience working in various systems, such as control systems or maintenance systems.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with vessel installations in navigation equipment and DC systems
• Nautical qualifications
• BE driver's license

The Swedish Maritime Administration may apply a six-month probationary period.
The position may involve military placement at the Swedish Maritime Administration.
