The Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine Unit (KIT) operates in ten hospitals in Skåne and has over 200 employees. The unit is responsible for laboratory activities within clinical immunology, transfusion medicine, and transplantation immunology, as well as blood donation in Skåne. KIT has a mission to provide healthcare in Region Skåne with high-quality blood components to support modern healthcare for acute and chronic conditions. The unit is accredited, and some parts of the operation are centralized in Lund. We are organized in processes with a unit manager, medical director, and process leaders working closely together.

At the Triangeln blood center in Malmö, 16 employees work. Our workplace is centrally located in fresh premises close to lunch restaurants, shops, and the flow of people.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We now welcome a biomedical analyst/nurse to join us.

As a biomedical analyst/nurse with us, your tasks are varied and include working with blood donors, reception work, and approving donors before blood donation. You will also be responsible for blood donation and monitoring the donor's general condition during and shortly after donation. The placement is in Malmö, but there will be some rotation to the Kattesund blood center in Lund.

At Kattesund in Lund, we conduct Skåne's apheresis donation for plasma and platelets, which is a development opportunity to learn after regular blood donation.

Recruiting new blood donors to our operations is of great importance, and we expect you to have an interest in participating in various events/marketing campaigns and to see personal meetings with potential new donors as a challenge and a positive part of the job. You will also participate in business development and in mentoring and training students and new colleagues. Your working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day and evening, as well as Saturdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed biomedical analyst or a licensed nurse with authorization to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. You are interested in working with blood donors, and we consider it an advantage if you have worked in a blood center or similar operations.
